About Ocoee River Doodles
Our Story
We are sisters, Jonie and Kristy, owners of Ocoee River Doodles. We grew up with puppies, kittens, horses, ducks, rabbits -- and even ostriches for a while!
We were inspired by our grandfather, who loved animals, and some of our favorite memories involve running next door to his house to have adventures with him and his menagerie.
Now, we are "grown ups" with homes, husbands, and kids of our own and we share with them our love for all kinds of furry friends. We hope to inspire our customers in some small way just as our grandfather inspired us with our Ocoee River Doodles.
Our Location
Ocoee River Doodles is located in Ocoee (pronounced oh-KOE-eey), one of the most beautiful towns in the southeast corner of Tennessee. We are surrounded by gorgeous mountains, wonderful hiking trails, and the Ocoee River, one of the most amazing whitewater rafting rivers in the United States.
Our kids and our dogs have plenty of room to run and roam through our fields and woods. We are about an hour from Chattanooga, and within two hours of Knoxville and Nashville. We are within easy driving distance of North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia. We also ship all over the country.
Doodles of All Kinds
When we decided to open our dog-breeding business, we knew we wanted to breed Doodles to provide our customers with the best breeds in a non-shedding variety. Jonie fell in love with the Bernedoodle, and our first two dogs were a handsome male Standard Poodle and a beautiful female Bernese Mountain dog. And then Kristy discovered Sheepadoodles! We'll see where we go from here!
Family Business
We do not breed large numbers of dogs and all of our animals are our family pets. It is most definitely a family business and a labor of love at the same time. Our days are spent at home with plenty of time to devote to spoiling our puppies with lots of love. Our goal is to provide beautiful, intelligent, and healthy, loving pets to families who will love them. We only raise puppies that we ourselves would want as part of our own family.
Customer Service
We feel very strongly about selling the 'perfect' family dog and feel you can't do better than a Doodle! Our puppies are well socialized to lay a strong foundation for well-adjusted family companions for years to come. We want to provide the best possible purchasing experience and will provide any advice you need in choosing as well as raising your pup by phone, email, or in person. Kids are always welcome.
